Ministry aims for productivity-driven employment growth in2026

Manpower Minister Yassierli said the ministry will focus next year on boosting the productivity of the national workforce.

"We are determined to ensure that Indonesia's workforce is not only large in number but also qualified and competitive in the face of a new economic era," he said in a statement

He affirmed that ongoing initiatives aim to create a more inclusive and adaptive employment landscape while delivering tangible benefits to the community.

"President Prabowo Subianto has mandated the Manpower Ministry to ensure every policy and program brings real benefits to the people, especially job seekers, workers, and the business sector," Yassierli said.

To achieve this, the ministry plans to intensify competency-based training and certification programs and strengthen vocational and productivity training centers nationwide.

Highlighting the need to digitize the employment sector, he said the ministry will upgrade its job market platform, Pasker ID, and the labor database portal, Satu Data Ketenagakerjaan.

Yassierli also emphasized enhancing tripartite cooperation among the government, employers, and labor unions.

"We cannot work alone, as the success of employment policies depends on solid collaboration among stakeholders," he said.

He highlighted initiatives launched during his first year in office to strengthen vocational education, expand job opportunities, and reinforce the national labor ecosystem.

One key program is the National Internship Program, targeting 80,000 participants in its second batch from November 24 to May 23, 2026.

"This program does not merely place talents in temporary jobs; it is a concrete step toward bridging the workforce with the actual needs of industries," Yassierli added.
